Standard Requirements:
Dowel bars supplied by Mar-Mac Wire Company will meet the requirements of ASTM A-615 Grade 60.
Chemical Requirements:
The chemical composition of the dowels will comply with ASTM A510 and ASTM A1040 unless an exception is required in ASTM A615.
Physical Requirements:
Dowel bars supplied by Mar-Mac Wire Company will meet the following
Diameter Tolerance:
1/2” Bars: + or – .007”
5/8” Bars: + or – .008”
3/4” Bars: + or – .008”
1” Bars: + or – .010”
Length Tolerance:
1/2” Bars: + .250” or – .000”
5/8” Bars: + .250” or – .000”
3/4” Bars: + .250” or – .000”
1” Bars: + .250” or – .000”
Tensile: 90,000psi minimum.
Yield Strength: 60,000psi minimum.
Finish: plain steel
